Slatterys is managing this event in partnership with Private Equity Media. The Slatts team can be reached on 03 9663 3093 or team@growthcapitalforum.com.au and will be very happy to assist you with any questions you might have.

Who will be in the audience?

We expect a mix of approx. 100 from across the private equity ecosystem. Those currently registered include representatives from institutional investors, private equity and venture capital funds, investment firms, family offices, professional service firms and startups.

Your Presentation

To assist you in preparing for your presentation, we have put together some information below which you will hopefully find helpful.
Speaker Briefings
To ensure we are all on the same page, we would love to organise a 20-30 minute catch-up with your moderator and your fellow panellists. We will come back to you with a calendar invite.

If you cannot make your teleconference briefing, please let us know and we can find another time to discuss any questions you may have.

How long will I speak for?

The working version of the program can be viewed here. Speakers with a presentation will generally speak for no longer than 20-25 minutes, allowing around 5 minutes for Q+A. Panellists will be involved in facilitated panel sessions of a total of 35-45 minutes (including Q+A).

A friendly member of the Slatterys team will indicate when you have FIVE minutes remaining, and when your time is up.

Who will be introducing me?

Adrian Herbert (Managing Editor, Private Equity Media) as well as representatives from the GCF2022 sponsoring companies, will be sharing the emceeing on the day – and will introduce and thank you. Your biography will be included in the program booklet, so there will be no need to introduce yourself. Please be ready to take the stage at least ten minutes before your presentation/panel starts, to ensure a smooth transition between speakers. We suggest you sit close to the front to enable easy access to the stage.

Time for questions?

Time permitting, the moderator/MC of your session will facilitate questions from the audience. We are very keen to engage the audience as much as possible on the day – so your cooperation in keeping to time to allow this is very much appreciated.

In keeping with Covid Safe procedures – there will be static microphones available for audience Q&A.

There will also be many opportunities to (safely) network with the audience during the breaks.

If you plan to use slides, we would appreciate you send any slides you will be using for your presentation by COB Monday 21 February 2022 via this dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/request/pw8fZbfOOTn6xp0N3y26

You will receive an email from Dropbox (no-reply@dropbox.com) confirming your files were uploaded.

You are of course welcome to make further changes to your slides and send us updated versions prior to the event.

Presentation requirements

  • Please make sure your first name and last name is in the filename:

    eg: gcf-2022-Sarah-Smith-220210.pptx
  • It is preferred that your files are 150MB or less if possible (or otherwise zipped)

Will my slides be made available to the attendees after the event?

PDFs of your slides will be sent to attendees – if you have a specific slideshare link or a preferred PDF of your slides, please let us know. Otherwise, if you would prefer not to share your slides, please flag this by Friday 18 February 2022.

Will my presentation be recorded?

Growth Capital Forum 2022 is being recorded in video and audio format on the day – with the view to upload the edited presentations onto the Private Equity Media website following the event. If you would prefer not to have your session recorded, please flag this by Friday 18 February 2022.

Stage Setup and Audio Visual (AV)
An image of the room in which the presentations will take place.

The built-in stage will be set up with a lectern and microphone and a panel table with table microphones. Lapel microphones and a wireless remote mouse (a ‘clicker’ or ‘pointer’) are available upon request.

All microphones and surfaces will be sanitised between each session.

If you would like to familiarise yourself with the setup, we will be there from 8:15am on the day of the event and you are more than welcome to come along early to check your slides and get a feel for the room.

To avoid the potential issue of device incompatibility, we encourage you to send your slides to us by COB Monday 21 February 2022, rather than bringing in your own laptop. Please send these via the Dropbox link above. You may bring your slides on a USB if needed.

If you have any specific AV requirements, please do let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
