Slatterys is managing this event in partnership with Private Equity Media. The Slatts team can be reached on 03 9663 3093 or team@growthcapitalforum.com.au and will be very happy to assist you with any questions you might have.

Who will be in the audience?

We expect a mix of approx. 150-200 from across the private equity ecosystem. Those currently registered include representatives from institutional investors, private equity and venture capital funds, investment firms, family offices, professional service firms, growth companies and startups.

Your Presentation

To assist you in preparing for your presentation, we have put together some information below which you will hopefully find helpful.
Speaker Briefings

To ensure we are all on the same page, we are organising 30 minute Zoom catch-ups with each panel (for panellists and moderator) to step through ideas for questions/areas to cover and the general format and flow on the day. Please look out for a calendar invite.

If you cannot make your teleconference briefing, please let us know and we can find another time to discuss any questions you may have. We will also be sure to circulate the notes from the briefing after the call so that the conversation can be continued on email if needed 🙂

How long will I speak for?

The working version of the program can be viewed here: growthcapitalforum.com.au/program/

Speakers with a presentation or involved in a fireside chat will generally speak for no longer than 20-25 minutes, allowing around 5 minutes for Q+A. Panellists will be involved in facilitated panel sessions of a total of 35-40 minutes (including Q+A).

A friendly member of the Slatterys team will indicate when you have FIVE minutes remaining, and when your time is up.

Who will be introducing me?
Adrian Herbert (Managing Editor, Private Equity Media) as well as representatives from the GCF24 sponsoring companies, will be sharing the emceeing on the day – and will introduce and thank you. Your biography will be included in the program booklet, so there will be no need to introduce yourself. Please be ready to take the stage at least ten minutes before your presentation/panel starts, to ensure a smooth transition between speakers. We suggest you sit close to the front to enable easy access to the stage.
Time for questions?
Time permitting, the moderator/MC of your session will facilitate questions from the audience. We are very keen to engage the audience as much as possible on the day – so your cooperation in keeping to time to allow this is very much appreciated.

There will be roving microphones available for audience Q&A.

There will also be many opportunities to network with the audience during the breaks.

Stage Setup and Audio Visual (AV)
Ivy Ballroom

An image of the room in which the presentations will take place.

The stage will be set up with a lectern and microphone and comfortable seating for the panel sessions.

All speakers will be fitted with a lapel microphone at the AV desk in the break before their session (i.e. either during Registration, Morning Tea, Lunch or Afternoon Tea). A wireless remote mouse (a ‘clicker’ or ‘pointer’) will also be available at the lectern.

If you would like to familiarise yourself with the setup, we will be there from 8:00am on the day of the event and you are more than welcome to come along early to check your slides and get a feel for the room.

To avoid the potential issue of device incompatibility, we encourage you to send your slides to us by COB Wednesday 21 February 2024, rather than bringing in your own laptop. Please send these via the Dropbox link above. You may bring your slides on a USB if needed.

If you have any specific AV requirements, please do let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
